Words
Harsh words cut people like a knife. "I'm sorry" is like a balm and bandaid. It will heal the cut over time(if the person lets it) but it is not an instant healer. There is still a wound there; it still hurts. Until it heals the words are not forgotten.
Now I could go into forgivness but I am going to stick to words.
I have been saying for several weeks now that "a wise man will measure his words with the consequences and only speak when the the words are found to be just." Words are powerful. They can build up and tear down. Words have ruined marriages, parent/child relationships, reputations, friendships, businesses, communities, countries and what hurts me the most: children, BUT just as words tear down they can also build up.
Words are not an uncontrolable circumstance, we choose our own words. WE ARE RESPONIBLE for what we say. We can choose to vomit our words and clean up later or weigh them carefully and see what we build.
The scripture that comes to mind is: James 1:19-20 (King James Version)
19Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Why I don't like Forums
Words Have Meaning- A lot of times people just spout off things not fully understanding there meaning.
No Immediate Conseqeunces- When you say something to someone sitting right in front of you, you immediately reap something from the words that you have just spoken. It could be excitement, hurt or a punch in the nose. If you are communicating over the internet there are no such rewards therefore no real restrictions.
Long Term Consequences- One word: REPUTAION
Let me clarify: I am mostly talking about political and religous forums.
Now maybe I can feel like I finished something I started that really didn't matter in the first place. LOL :)

Why I Don't Like Forums Part I Tone of Voice
For example, if I said "sit down, please" my tone of voice would give you the full meaning of my words. I could say "sit down, please" through gritted teeth and you would know that I was angry and that my request was really a demand. If I said it with a sing song tone you would know I am happy and I am requesting you to sit. I could also say it in a sincere tone of voice and my tone would let you know that it would be my honor for you to sit down.
Tone of voice is just as important to your conversation as your words.
Part II to come shortly. :) My tone of voice: Respectfully Soft

The Last Man Standing
Brake Down of the Flu Epidemic at my house:
Thursday-My husband
Saturday-Nathan (my middle son)
Sunday-Braeden (my youngest son)
Monday-Kevin (my oldest son)
I feel like I have won some kind of race. I am the last man standing. I am very very tired from taking care of everyone else but for some WEIRD reason I have renewed energy at the thought that I, without any medicine, have out lasted everyone else who has been taking medicine. I know that this is weird but I can't help it. LOL
Hope you all escape the flu bug. 'Till later, Lynda
P.S. I know my punctuation is wrong but I am tired. Sorry.

Wonderful Weekend
Sunday morning we went to Bro. Whitaker's church in Montgomery, TX. That church is AWESOME. The building is beautiful and the people are so kind. You can tell that they have been very blessed the past three years. Bro. Whitaker preached right at me. His message was great. After church we were privileged to get to eat with the Whitaker Family. They have such a passion for what they do and ALL of their 5 children help.
Sunday night my husband preached an AWESOME message. He spoke about praying past the blessing to the victory. God wants to give us the victory but sometimes we stop at the blessing.
Sunday night after Church me and my husband got away for a date dinner. We went to Pappadeaux. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Perfect date restaurant. Wonderful food.
This whole weekend has been such a blessing for my husband and I. We went to Montgomery wanting to be a blessing to a Home Missions church and we came back blessed and forever changed. I am humbled at the thought that God allowed us to fellowship with The Smiths and The Whitakers, such men and women of God.
The Lord is moving in our lives and I am soooo grateful.

What God Can't Do
We all know that God can do ANYTHING but do we believe HE WILL. I think that that is the difference. If we know he can and know he will, we will step out in faith more giving God an opportunity to show he can AND will.
I don't know if any of this is making sense or not but that is what is on my heart right now. I want to have more faith in God; knowing that HE WILL.
Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

If Jesus Came to Your House
If He came unexpectedly, I wonder what you’d do.
Oh, I know you’d give your nicest room to such an honored guest.
And all the food you’d serve would be the very best,
And you would keep assuring Him you’re glad to have him there….
But…. When you saw Him coming, would you meet Him at the door
With arms outstretched in welcome to our heav’nly visitor?
Of would you maybe change your clothes before you let Him in,
Or hide some magazines and put the Bible where they’d been?
Would you turn off the radio and hope He hadn’t heard,
And wish you hadn’t uttered that last, loud and hasty word?
Would you hide your worldly music and pout some hymnbooks out?
Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about?
And I wonder… if the Savior spent a day or two with you,
Would you go right on doing the things you always do?
Would you go right on sayings the things you always say?
Would life for you continue as it does from day to day?
Would your family conversation keep up its usual pace?
And would you find it hard each meal to say a table grace?
Would you sing the songs you always sing and read the books you read?
And let Him know the things on which you mind and spirit feed?
Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you’d planned to go,
Or would you, maybe, change your plans for just a day or so?
Would you be glad to have Him meet your very closest friends,
Or would you hope they’d stay away until His visit ends?
Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on,
Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone?
If might be interesting to know that things that you would do,
If Jesus came in person to spend some time with you.

Happy Tired
This year was the BEST Thanksgiving that I think I have ever had. We had a lot of food and sweets! My mom, sister and ALL of my nieces were here. My wonderful husband built us a table for the living room so that we ALL could sit around the table together. It was great! People just kept coming, by the end of the day we had almost 25 people.
The guys and kids played WII and us girls looked at sales papers. The day was perfect.
The next day me, my mom, my sister, six teenagers and one 11yr old got up at 2:30am and went shopping. It is a tradition for me, my mom and sister to go but this year the kids wanted to go. I was worried about all the kids going but they took their own car and everything went smoothly. I got all of my big items purchased and came home with $4 to spare. No credit cards only cash. Now that is called budgeting. LOL Another perfect day.
Saturday one of my nieces had a wedding to go to, so she came over so I could do her hair. Before I knew it EVERYONE was back at my house. (I had just finished cleaning LOL) I LOVED IT!!!!!! Her hair turned out really pretty. Another perfect day.
After all that I am very very very tired but it is a happy, content and oh so blessed tired.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I have two more posts but I will save some for later. lol
