I Am Blessed

For the past few years I have had a recurring dream. In the dream I am very ill with cancer. I am so weak I can barely speak. I am probably about to die. I am sitting in church and the pastor asks me to testify. So with the help of my husband and my mother I very slowly stand and I begin to whisper to sing I am Blessed.

Well, tonight I felt that way spiritually. Like something was eating at my soul and it was about to consume me. Then I looked down at my baby (whom I was rocking to sleep) and all the goodness of the Lord flooded my soul. My weary heart began to whisper to sing
I am blessed
I am blessed
Every day that I live
I am blessed
When I wake up in the morning
Until I lay my head to rest
I am blessed
I am blessed

To my Namesake:

I was so touched after I read your article on being blessed. Each of us are equally blessed, be it in many small ways as we go about our busy lives each day, or in larger ways as God saves us from danger we may not even be aware of. I heard someone say recently there is a special "God" for children. I don't believe in 2 Gods, but I certainly do believe that God has a special forces unit that do follow and protect the children.

Lynda, God has always had his hands on you; I am so glad that mother lived to see you and Carla, and her other grandchildren to become adults. Many times, I believe the greatest tradegy of daddy's life being cut short was not being able to know his grandchildren. Even after we were big kids, he always called us his "babies" and he would have loved every minute of being a grandfather and great-grandfather.

I am very proud of you; I think you are a wonderful mother.

I too am both thankful & blessed to have you in my life!

Always,

Linda
