Why I don't like Forums

I have been trying to finish the series that I started but I have been so busy so I decided to go ahead and give you the titles and a very brief description of each.

Words Have Meaning- A lot of times people just spout off things not fully understanding there meaning.

No Immediate Conseqeunces- When you say something to someone sitting right in front of you, you immediately reap something from the words that you have just spoken. It could be excitement, hurt or a punch in the nose. If you are communicating over the internet there are no such rewards therefore no real restrictions.

Long Term Consequences- One word: REPUTAION

Let me clarify: I am mostly talking about political and religous forums.

Now maybe I can feel like I finished something I started that really didn't matter in the first place. LOL :)

Why I Don't Like Forums Part I Tone of Voice

When you are reading you loose something very important: Tone Of Voice.

For example, if I said "sit down, please" my tone of voice would give you the full meaning of my words. I could say "sit down, please" through gritted teeth and you would know that I was angry and that my request was really a demand. If I said it with a sing song tone you would know I am happy and I am requesting you to sit. I could also say it in a sincere tone of voice and my tone would let you know that it would be my honor for you to sit down.

Tone of voice is just as important to your conversation as your words.

Part II to come shortly. :) My tone of voice: Respectfully Soft

The Last Man Standing

Thursday my husband went to the doctor, the diagnosis the flu. The doctor put everyone in our family on TamiFlu in hopes that no one else would get it. I did not fill my tamiflu because that was just extra money and I figured I could handle it. My husband was too sick to argue so I won!

Brake Down of the Flu Epidemic at my house:
Thursday-My husband
Saturday-Nathan (my middle son)
Sunday-Braeden (my youngest son)
Monday-Kevin (my oldest son)

I feel like I have won some kind of race. I am the last man standing. I am very very tired from taking care of everyone else but for some WEIRD reason I have renewed energy at the thought that I, without any medicine, have out lasted everyone else who has been taking medicine. I know that this is weird but I can't help it. LOL

Hope you all escape the flu bug. 'Till later, Lynda

P.S. I know my punctuation is wrong but I am tired. Sorry.

Wonderful Weekend

Friday we went to my moms house and drop off my two little boys. (Kevin stayed home) Saturday we got up and drove to Conroe, TX where we had lunch with Bro. and Sis. Smith. I thought that we were going just to make a couple of new friends but I left there ministered to. Just to get to talk to a seasoned minister and his wife was a blessing.

After we left the restuarant we went to The Woodlands Mall. REAL SHOPPING. (something like Heaven) They had almost all the best stores Thomas Kinkade, GODIVA!!!!! HUMMMM!!

Sunday morning we went to Bro. Whitaker's church in Montgomery, TX. That church is AWESOME. The building is beautiful and the people are so kind. You can tell that they have been very blessed the past three years. Bro. Whitaker preached right at me. His message was great. After church we were privileged to get to eat with the Whitaker Family. They have such a passion for what they do and ALL of their 5 children help.

Sunday night my husband preached an AWESOME message. He spoke about praying past the blessing to the victory. God wants to give us the victory but sometimes we stop at the blessing.

Sunday night after Church me and my husband got away for a date dinner. We went to Pappadeaux. LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Perfect date restaurant. Wonderful food.

This whole weekend has been such a blessing for my husband and I. We went to Montgomery wanting to be a blessing to a Home Missions church and we came back blessed and forever changed. I am humbled at the thought that God allowed us to fellowship with The Smiths and The Whitakers, such men and women of God.

The Lord is moving in our lives and I am soooo grateful.

What God Can't Do

I was thinking in church this morning about people that seem to be so mightily used of God. What is the difference between them and us? Does God love them more, were they given more talents then us? Maybe, but I believe it is because they don't know what God can't do. (I know that is a double negative but work with me here LOL)

We all know that God can do ANYTHING but do we believe HE WILL. I think that that is the difference. If we know he can and know he will, we will step out in faith more giving God an opportunity to show he can AND will.

I don't know if any of this is making sense or not but that is what is on my heart right now. I want to have more faith in God; knowing that HE WILL.

Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Catch Up Post

Since I am so far behind and pictures say a thousand words I am doing this post in mostly pictures.

Nathan at the Christmas parade.
Braeden at the Christmas Parade. They both got a boat load of candy.

Kevin preached in Dallas, Mineola and Kilgore in the month of December. For some reason I never get any pictures though. I guess I am too busy talking. LOL

My niece Miranda at a Christmas play. She is the one in the cowboy hat. She had two solos and did really good.

Then we had my mom's christmas at my house this year. My mom got to stay with me the whole month of December. I LOVED every minute of it. Thanks, Mom

This thing was flying around a couple of blocks away from our house. It was really cool to see.

Dwyght (my father-in-law) and Betty (his wife) got to spend Christmas with us this year. That was really nice

One of Kevin's Christmas presents.

My husband loves these hats.

My father in law bought Kevin a Les Paul (or something like that) guitar for Christmas.

He also bought the little boys a swing set. All three of my boys got spoiled this Christmas.

New Years Eve we went a Seymour Family Party. We had a lot of fun.

Two weekends ago Me, my mom, my sister, my aunt, my niece and my two small boys went to Mississippi. It was a stroll down memory lane for my mom. We went to where my mom and dad met, where they got engaged, were married and their first house. They also had my brothere and sister there. We say a lot of ofl friends of my mom's and my aunt's. We also saw my uncle and one of my cousins. (picture above-cousin, mom, uncle)

Me-left , my cousin and my sister- right. Yes, my boys are in their pjs, we got up reeeeally early.
I am sure that we did more stuff but if I didn't take a picture of it I don't remember. LOL

Valentine's Day

I am REALLY looking forward to Valentine's Day this year. We have no special plans and I don't really care what we do. I am just looking forward to the day. I decided to change my blog for a month to celebrate. Hope everyone has a wonderful day and a wonderful valentine's day.

Sorry for the lack of posts. So many wonderful things are happening in our lives right now I have not been able to sit down long enough to post. Maybe this week I will get a chance to catch up. The Lord has blessed me with a whole week off from babysitting. Whoo Hoo!!
